  JW's and government

  my jw sister works for the postal service, wearing the uniform and driving one of their mail trucks.

  not only do i think this is hypocritical given the jw stance on government, it pisses me off each time i go to the post office and read the stupid sign about postal employees and federal crimes blah blah blah - like, what makes them so much more important than any other working person.. anyhow this has been bugging me for some time and i'd really like to confront her one day about wearing a symbol of the government, but i doubt i'll ever have the chance.

  gawd, i detest those phoney people.. gl.

  do you guys think social security will ever be reformed?

  during the election bush proposed to fix social security through private accounts but given the stock market's last couple of years i don't think private accounts are going to be the solution to it all.

  this is not a post written with the intent of bashing a single person, because frankly i think there's enough blame to go around.

  The postal service is not a government job .

  This surprises me I did not know that the United States Postal service was part of the private sector. I always thought it was part of the Public sector. When did they privatize it?

  I just realized that my situation has some similarites to hers.

  I wonder though: Did your mother forbid you from having a relationship with the JWs? Were you then inspired to carry on a secret relationship? Were you inspired as a 14 year old girl to have special relationship with an a adult male elder?
  

  and unrelated to the core issue but still part of the fastasy world that this story tries to create for the young female JW, Did you have a rich business man and his wife offering to adopt you and give you a pony in exchange for denouncing God (please hold while I vomit at this fairytale designed to wow youngsters who live in make-believe land of imaginary persecution by rich worldly people).?

  Now for the main point here. Imagine you are a young female JW reading this article?

  Also, Awake magazine is published for the usage of distribution to the general public. What message are they communicating to the non JW single mother who has a young daughter?

  Is this article designed to inspire a false confidence for young girls to have secrets from their parents where the JWs are concerned ? especially in light of the question posed on the Silent Lambs website:

  "Do Jehovah's Witnesses approve, condone, and encourage accused, confessed, and convicted child molesters to call door to door on unknowing potential victims in the witnessing work?"

  If JW's were to set another "Armaggeddon" date , what would it be? 2030? _?

  i was talking to my jw friend the other day and he was telling me that armaggeddon is right around the corner because of all the things going on in iraq and that he feels that pres.bush fits into bible prophecy because he feels that 666 equals george herbert bush.

  i fell on the floor laughing because my friend was serious about it.

  i said i know the watchtower is not teaching that bologna and he said no they were not but this is his own interpretation.

  This is crazy, I cannot read your thoughts. You is used in a plural sense\

  I don't belive that excuse BB as you had quoted only me in your post and your post was responding to me.

  As well, if "You" had been intended to be in a plural sense (as you now claim in order to back-peddle) then your sentense would have read "You have all known Jehovah..." and not "You have known Jehovah"

  Anyway, 1914 has been pretty much disconnected from 'this generation'

  *** Watchtower 1995 11/1 19 A Time to Keep Awake *** 12 Therefore, in the final fulfillment of Jesus? prophecy today, ?this generation? apparently refers to the peoples of earth who see the sign of Christ?s presence but fail to mend their ways.

  So I guess it means they admitted that they had been lying all along or at least for over 50 years. I wonder if all those people who gave up their money and lives based on that lie can get it back?

  You have known Jehovah before, so it is important to bring you back to Him.

  The above comment was your response to me BB.

  If you were truly anointed and speaking for God then you would know that I have NEVER been a JW as that cult is the false prophet which has never fooled me. Beyond that, you would also know that I used to be an athiest. In fact, I have moved away from athiest belief to accept that God created the Universe. What you are in fact saying to me in your comment is that I should return to an athiest belief. No thank you.
